Giant Aubergine Emoji Cake – Yolanda starts by saying this was your idea. Honestly, the eggplant emoji cake is probably one of the most requested cakes she’s ever had. When Yolanda made the Peach Emoji cake a lot of her fans asked for an aubergine (eggplant) emoji cake. She doesn’t know what the relation is, or why anyone would use this emoji aside from a grocery list, but when so many of her fans ask for a specific cake she needs to deliver. Besides Yolanda’s not about to say no to such a fun project!
This cake is another simpler sculpted cake for those of you just starting out with fondant and novelty cakes. Also because it’s an emoji and more cartoony, you don’t have to worry too much about hyper realistic details. Inside this cake is also simple but delicious – Yolanda’s ultimate Vanilla cake, which she created especially for sculpted cakes, it’s sturdy enough for sculpting but so moist and delicious, especially when showered in simple syrup. Yolanda also used her yummy vanilla Italian meringue buttercream inside.
